Dear friends of the world's smallest theater,
We are going through challenging times in which the repercussions of the pandemic are compounded by the renovations that have been ongoing at the Teatro della Concordia since April, closing access to visitors!
The renovations are the result of the good management that, as the Teatro della Concordia Society APS, we have been carrying out for more than 25 years. Today, thanks to funding from the MIC (Ministry of Culture) in favor of the Municipality of Monte Castello di Vibio, the owner of the structure, it can get a new look to shine even more beautifully than before!
"The structural revitalization of the Teatro della Concordia aims to impact the protection and preservation of the cultural asset for future generations, with the following works, of which the facade is only a small part (see photo above):
📌works to improve the reception and the level of comfort for the audience;
📌 works for energy efficiency;
📌 works to improve mechanical systems (heating, cooling, humidity control, air exchange, and sanitation);
📌 works to enhance the architecture and decorative elements.
However, the Association is in great difficulty. due to the impossibility of carrying out its cultural activities, the sole source of income, and which is now at risk of closing permanently.
Despite the adversities, our goal is to continue to revive an 18th-century theater, rich in history and culture, and turn it into an opportunity for the development of the area as well as new job opportunities for young people.
A demanding mission, which therefore requires constant care and attention, and today, more than ever, supporters!
